Our Gold and Silver is obtained from trusted local vendors. All our gemstones are ethically sourced from local Sri Lankan mines such as those in Ratnapura and purchased from renowned jewelry hubs like the Beruwela Gem Market. Each and every gemstone, and each and very gram of gold or silver that goes into creating a jewelry masterpiece is personally checked by Ceylon Artisans managers before purchase. Our unique buying process enables us to handpick all gemstones and those that do not meet the Ceylon Artisans grade are discarded. Thus, hand expertise, coupled with specific tools such as microscopes and jewelry torches ensures that there is no compromise on perfection when it comes to crafting you dream piece.
As a secondary guarantee, all our gemstones come with a Certificate of Authenticity from GIA (Gemology Institute of America) Certified Laboratories. Here, gems are examined by 2 gemologists using a variety of advanced techniques such as Raman Spectroscopy, Photoluminescence, Ultraviolet Visible Spectroscopy (UV-VIS) and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) etc. This confirms the shape and cut, dimensions, weight, origin and treatment of the stone; as well as other factors such as the colour, enhancement, stability, species and variety based on internationally accepted grading and evaluation methods.
